Mr. Başak has almost 30 years of experience, knowledge and network in Finance, Strategy Management, Risk and Crisis Management and Corporate Governance  in many companies in many different sectors such as banking, telecom, energy, construction, textile and automotive.

He has analyzed hundreds of companies in financial and managerial aspects, visited on-site, prepared credit reports and allocated commercial loans worth approximately 2 billion USD in local and international credit committees. He worked for many years in the establishment of Mercedes Benz Finance and Leasing companies and in the construction of credit rating systems.

He has been in senior management team of one of Turkey's largest Holding companies responsible for  Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Strategy Execution and Corporate Governance for nearly 10 years.
