Franz G. Koller was born in Ankara in 1954 due to his father's job. After completing his primary and secondary education in this city, he returned to Munich and completed his undergraduate and graduate education in Economics at Ludwig-Maximilian University.

Having started his corporate business life in MAN AG in 1981, Koller transferred to Daimler-Benz AG, where he will assume important roles and responsibilities in various positions for years.

In 1988, Mr Koller returned to Turkey to manage the Financial Control Department of Mercedes-Benz Turkey (the company name was Otomarsan A.Ş. in those days). He continued to work in different positions in finance department in Mercedes Benz Türk until 1997, when he was appointed as General Manager of South Africa Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

When Daimler Financial Services, which is a captive financing group established to support the sales of Daimler Group vehicles to their clients with personalized financial solutions, decided to start the operations in Turkey, Mr. Koller was assigned as founding Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Turk A.Ş. in 2000.

Under the management of Mr. Koller, Mercedes Benz Finansman Türk A.Ş. and Mercedes Benz Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. has become one of the most successful captive finance companies in Turkey.

Mr. Koller, elected to the Presidency of the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce in 2009 and served at the same time deputy chairman of the Turkey Union of Consumer Finance Company. In addition he has served on the board of the Association of Financial Leasing companies in Turkey.

Mr. Koller speaks Turkish almost as well as his native German. He also knows English and French languages very ​​well.

Mr. Koller, who contributed to the building up of strong ties between Turkey and Germany for years, has settled in Bodrum and lived there with his family since 2017. Franz G. Koller, who is interested in "diving and hunting", is married and has two children.
